Cara Di Cicco-Sandre is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has worked with children and adults, ranging from autism and apraxia to stroke and brain injury, for over 18 years. Her specialties include early childhood development, acquired language disorders, motor speech disorders, voice disorders, and dysphagia. Cara was an Assistant Adjunct Professor at St. John’s University in the Communication Sciences Department for 12 years creating and teaching an array of graduate and undergraduate classes including Anatomy and Physiology, Language Development, Language Disorders, Acquired Language Disorders, Speech Science, and Phonetics, among many other courses. She has supervised numerous graduate student and speech interns over her almost two decade long career. Cara led the Speech Pathology department at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for 8 years, teaching and training numerous students and new speech language pathologists in objective swallow tests, such as the Modified Barium Swallow study and the Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing. She is also certified in Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (Vital Stim) for patients with swallowing disorders.

In addition to excelling in her career, Cara is a Leadership Program Coordinator at Synergy Education Inc in New York City for over 3 years where she runs three month long leadership programs to groups of successful and motivated adults looking to strengthen their personal, professional, and leadership skills. She is a graduate of Synergy’s Train the Trainer program, which is a 6 month long in front of the room, intensive, skills training to enhance speaking, delivering, and presentation.
Cara co-created her Facebook page, “Healthy Choices, Healthy Babies,” where she continues to educate parents on healthy, natural lifestyles as well as advocating for Parental Choice and Parental Rights. She has coordinated numerous events for local parents to meetup and become educated on local issues and laws. Cara has also spoken at IAOTP’s annual international awards event.
Cara is certified in Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET) with specialties in autism and ADD/ADHD, radiation allergies, environmental allergies, and is on her way to be specialized in Anaphylaxis and Infertility. She is certified in Acupoint Physical Medicine by the International Association of Medical Acupuncture and is working to complete her certification in Applied Kinesiology by the International Kinesiology Training Institute.
